The ends of your hair have no effect on the roots. That said, your hair will look alot better if you get rid of the split ends. Also, good nutrition will make the hair grow faster and look healthier.

yes from experience I know this. My hair is long the ends are in need of a serious trim but my hair grows really fast. Near my roots for about 7 or 8 inches down is the shiny soft hair LOL. so yes it will grow

Split ends deter hair from growing at it's best. Also, get a Farmer's Almanac. There are certain days to cut your hair to encourage growth, anfd certain days to cut it to discourage growth. The moon's phase has something to do with it. (Always had the best luck planting a garden by the Almanac, maybe they have something there!)

yes your hair grows from your roots and not the bottom...but you should still get it trimmed.

slit ends?! not usualkly you should get your hair trimmed once every month. get rid of ur split ends and your hair will grow much faster
