Christ himself seems to have a lot in common with the Egyptian god Osiris. However Egyptian influence is not the only one. There are Celtic motives in the creation of Christian Satan, Nordic ideas borrowed for the sake of Christian Hell, and many others. But yes. Egyptians were there first, and the early church fathers built some of their churches based on early tradition, jewish and pagan.

The horns of the Devil are associated with Cernunnos, Lord of the Dead.

the christians got many of their ideas from many religions...a lot of their saints were celtic gods....do some research its pretty interesting stuff!
