mine is Psalm 139:13-16
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

God knows everything about me and made me how he wanted me to, the flaws i see in myself, he sees as beauty. to man, i may not be perfect, but to God, im more than perfect, im perfection and then some. nothing is hidden from him. his love for me is unfathomable.

"And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. Romans 5:1-5

I particularly like the parts that contradict themselves. Here's a few examples of my favorites:

Merciful God or Unmerciful?

PSA 145:9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

JER 13:14 And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them.

War or Peace?

EXO 15:3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.

ROM 15:33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

Who was the father of Joseph again?

MAT 1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

LUK 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli.

I could go on, but you probably don't want to hear all the others...

James 1:2-3
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverence."

God has something in store for everything that happens to His believers. Just in my 20 years on this earth, I have experienced many forms of adversity. If I continually view these things with joy (which often is very hard to do) then God will use the event to grow me in some area of my faith. I have experienced so much of this growth in just the last few years; not because of anything I've done, but because of God's mercy upon my life. Thank you, Lord, for everything I endure while patiently waiting for your promise to be completed!

There are so many, I can't narrow it down that far.

"Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me." Psalm23:4,

"Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from your Presence? If I go up into the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast." Psalm 139:7--10

I also love this Psalm too, but my favourite verse is
For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, plans for good and not for evil, plans to give you a future and a hope.

I work for Teen Challenge Uk, and this is the verse which we centre around, for the Lord has a plan and purpose for everyone, who are willing to submit their lives to Him. I see many lives transformed by the power of God, and faith in this verse, which of course is the Word of God

1 Corinthians 13
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

I find this verse to be very real, and shows that what society portrays love to be is nothing compared to what love is really about.

Deuteronomy 23:1. It's the most beautiful, most awe-inspiring, and eloquent verse in the Bible, or in all of literature, for that matter!
