And if your god truly loved everyone, he would have accepted the offerings from the brothers Cain and Abel with equal joy and appreciation. Instead, he pitted one against the other with the result being, one brother was murdered. And so it begins. And continues. And it will never end until such time as people look at these writings for what they are. The machinations of ancient men trying to describe how we got here - while at the same time, making sure they had full power over the people and the female gender.

I believe Cain was jealous because Abel offering was accepted by God. Genesis Chapter 4 verse 4-5. sounds like jealousy.

Well, the Bible tells exactly what it was over...

1 John 3:12: "not like Cain, who originated with the wicked one and slaughtered his brother. And for the sake of what did he slaughter him? Because his own works were wicked, but those of his brother [were] righteous."

Genesis 4: 2b-7: " And Abel came to be a herder of sheep, but Cain became a cultivator of the ground. 3 And it came about at the expiration of some time that Cain proceeded to bring some fruits of the ground as an offering to Jehovah. 4 But as for Abel, he too brought some firstlings of his flock, even their fatty pieces. Now while Jehovah was looking with favor upon Abel and his offering, 5 he did not look with any favor upon Cain and upon his offering. And Cain grew hot with great anger, and his countenance began to fall. 6 At this Jehovah said to Cain: “Why are you hot with anger and why has your countenance fallen? 7 If you turn to doing good, will there not be an exaltation? But if you do not turn to doing good, there is sin crouching at the entrance, and for you is its craving; and will you, for your part, get the mastery over it?”

God knows our hearts and our motivations. Obviously Cain's was wicked and against God, while Abel's was humble and with love for God.

Now steady on. This has not been proven in a court of law.
"When Cain (allegedly) killed Abel"...

Remember, prostitution is not the oldest industry, law practice is!
(and twice as despicable).

Cain was jealous of Abel because god favored Abel's offer.

Apparently god liked Abel's offer of meat over Cain's offering of vegetables, even though it says Cain was a vegetable farmer

Go figure....

It was actually a good story [I'm not Christian, or anything like that], in which the world is symbollically given morality.
