Can u drink too much water and if so, how much is too much?

When you are thirsty or dehydrated you should drink water only a little bit at a time untill you feel that you have quenched your thirst. Most health professionals reccomend that you drink 8 glasses (8 oz.) per day ,this helps to keep your inside organs clean.

Yes you can drink too much water & it is highly dangerous. There was a case in the paper this week of a woman in usa drinking water & not going to the loo in order to try & win a nintendo wii. She died as a direct result of too much water but the amount would vary according to body weight etc

There is a medical term for drinking too much water. Your better off just sticking to your 8 glasses a day.

it is true, you can possibly drink way too much water, but just stop when you know that you are full. the average person is supposed to drink 64 ounces of water every day.

You can drown yourself internally drinking too much water.
The woman in the states died through toxic shock and not because she drank too much.
The competition was to drink a pint of water every 15 mins but you werent allowed to pee :) lol

A Nurse friend of mine told me it can be fatal to drink too much water. It can eliminate essencial Electrolites.

About a year ago there was a young man who died from a Fraternity Hazing incident by drinking too much water.

You can drink too much, it's difficult but you can. 10 litres over 30 mins would normally be too much. I can damage your organs, even kill you!

it only matters if you drink the water at one time
if you drink water all through the day it can kill you

Yes, believe it or not. You would have to chug about 2 gallons of water in an hour. It floods your system.
