My cat growls like a dog! We do have 2 other doggies, But can cats growl? Or is it not sopposed to be that way! mainly at night she growls.

My step-mother has a cat that growls, hisses and spits like a Tasmanian Devil.
I personally believe the cat is possessed!

And I thought my cat was the only one. I have a 6 1/2 yr old male who will growl and even bark when he hears odd noises.

All cats growl. Some cats such as one that I owned had a fantastice growl that would make a dog shy away.

I used to have A cat that growled and I swear to this day I think she tried to bark at my dog( at least that is what it sounded like to me).

All cats (that I know of) growl when they are upset/threatened. Something is probably scaring her.

my cat growls just like a dog.Like when someone is at the door or she hears something..I love it! I think it is cute.......
but i have had other cats that do not growl.she also fetches and brings back things like soft balls and catches them too..she may be half dog...LOL
