I'm really serious about buying a Chihuahua pup (the apple headed breed) so if anyone can help it would be very much appreciated. I've already searched on the net, the further i go the more confusing or dead-ends i get.

go to petfinder.com.....this is a site for rescue groups.....just enter your Zip code, and enter breed wanted, and be AMAZED at how many great choices you have !!.....i recently adopted a Great Pyrenees mix from them, and my dog Sylvester is awesome !!.....check it out.....try it......do a good deed.....adopt a Chihuahua today !!!.....good luck to you, in your search for a Chihuahua as a new pet !!!!....most adoptions run between $ 50 to $ 200 maximum, for a wonderfull dog, who will be very happy to be your new pet !!!

You could do a search for chihuahuas for sale in your state. You will then need to find a reputable breeder. When you find one tell them you would like one with an apple head. Apple head is not a breed it is a trait. There is also not a teacup chihuahua. They should be between 2-6lbs. There is a short hair and a long hair. You can have both coats and many colors all in the same litter. You can also have very prominate apple heads and some not so prominate apple heads in the same litters. I would find a reputable breeder tell them the traits you want and they should be able to help you. They are a great little dog. Good Luck on finding your perfect Chihuahua.

You can locate breeders through a link on the AKC site. You look for Chihuahua on the list and click the referral representative name to get an email address. Most of these representative are affiliated with their specific breeds club- in your case the Chihuahua Club of America. This club is dedicated to preserving and improving the breed. You should also be familiar with the breed standard so that you may be better informed when picking a quality puppy. There are alot of Chihuahua books on the market as well that are informative and include photos of show winners.
Try the links I give you and hopefully you will find what you need. I have gave them to other askers and they were pleased.

very long hair is nice but requires maintenance and u have to grow that out for a long time

I prefer hair which is shoulder length or longer, As well as since that men who like ladies are more often then not directly, they like long hair because this looks more feminine, as most males have short hair.
