okay so im in high school and ive liked this guy for about two months now. back in november we went on a school conference thing together and hit it off. we talked on the hotels phones and were pretty much inseperable. after we got back, i was too nervous to say hi to him, but we did look at each other and smile a lot in the hallways. now our schools turnabout dance is coming up and i want to ask him but i still havent really talked to him since the conference. how do i start talking to him without my nerves kicking in ? how would i be able to ask him to the dance? by the way- hes shy, a good christian, and is definately NOT a ladies man. please help me- i really do like him a lot. thanx!!!!!!

Talk to him about other stuff. After a few days, it will feel natural talking to him again. Then ask him. From what you say, he's going to say yes.

Well i know it might be hard but give your best to stay calm and "accidentally" bump on him in the hallway and say something as "Oh hi! I sure havent talked to you for a long time" then mention that conference and i later if it goes well bring up the dance as a subject...Ask him about it a little ,try to find out if he has a escort and if not say something like "Oh we could go together,of course if you dont mind..."
This all goes of course if you are not shy and think you are able ot do it...And if he is not tooo shy

Well the time you'll spen at the conference and enjoyed each others company was like friends, maybe it was just the two of you from that area. But now if both of you are shy and don't know how and you just don't want to just go up and ask him point blank. Write him a note and explain what you want and how you feel. HEy he might like it and say Yes. But hurry because someone can beat you to him.

Make a point to put the girls charm on every time you see him. If nothing else make sure you really make a point to smile at him when you pass in the hall way. As soon as you get some reciprocation you know you are in like flynt. You could just say hey I heard about the dance and it sounds like fun. that will be his queue to ask you...if he is really so shy then you may have to ask him...just keep it simple...a phone call. Hey the dance sounds like fun and I'd really like to go with you. Will you take me? That way it leaves the decision up to him...you didn't technically ask him to go, you ask him if he'd take you...big difference. Good luck

Just be yourself and the words will come to you. Think of something you both shared or share now to get the conversation started. Listen as he is shy. Won't get much so don't let that worry you. Tell him what your wanting to do and that you would enjoy his company since you have so much in common already.
Believe me, he's going to be much more nervous about this than you. Bet he's going to say Yes!

go with what ur heart tells u. first try to start talking to him again so u can get ur nerves down a bit. slowly be sure to mention the dance so that he can kind of have an idea that ur interested. Then when u feel it's time go for it and ask him if he would like to go with u!!

If you're too nervous. You're too young to be with him. Stick to talking on the phone. Untl you find out more about him. By the time you get out of High School. You'l lknow many of your Friends who've gotten Pregnant of other things./ THEN! You'll see that you were the smart one.

try this: take a deep breath hold for 3 seconds and release. do that a few times to settle your nerves. walk up to him and say "can i ask you something in private?" then make mention of the dance and ask him to go with you. try not to look pathetic or needy and you will do fine. i wish you luck:)

If you have his number then call him up. Feel the fear and ask him to the dance anyway. Live life and avoid "should haves" if at all possible. Who knows? Maybe he's dying to go with you.
