Both my birds bite. I can't take them out, reach into the cage without them trying to bite or nailing me. I'm getting real sick of it. Any suggestions as to what I can do to stop or curb this? Thanks.

For training purposes, separate them. They may have bonded with each other and not with you. Taming is in order. Offer a treat in your hand with your hand outside of the cage and use a keyword. Reward the bird. Do this frequently. The bird will associate the word with the treat. If he is slightly hungry. After3 days, offer the treat to the bird and your keyword with the cage door open. Let him come to you. Reward him when he takes the treat.Next offer a hand held perch using the same method for 3 days and then your finger as a perch using the keyword and treat. If he bites, push towards the bite, try not to make a big deal out of it, and give him a firm "No!" If he continues, put him in his cage covered for 2 minutes. He will learn that no biting means more play time. Have a tweet year.

I had the same problem with my parakeet and its the same because it depends how long you know him and if you want to take good care of him and see if you torcher your bird like that it wants to get away so it bites you , but if you clip his wing and teach him to sit on your finger and show him your a normal calm person who's trying to help him out in life then he will understand and try to to teach him and not torcher him he'll understand and you to will have the best time ever.Wish luck and when you teach him/her to sit on your finger they have to be in a small room like your closet to run around you and not away from you.
good luck again. bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to get them on a stick to take them out. They don't like fingers either, so roll your hand into a fist, when you try to hold them also.
