Well, the Earth is the only planet in the universe that has conditions we can live under- or is the only one with life on it-- that we know of.

i'm not sure that the book of Genesis envisioned a large or infinite expanding universe. so i would take the sun and the moon to be a metaphor for everything beyond the earth and its atmosphere. in that case no, maybe?

We don't know how long a day was when He created the world. But considering that the sun makes life on earth possible, I would hope that He took a little extra time with it.
