Because cats (especially Siamese cats) are highly intelligent animals and babies are not, but the babies get all of the attention. That pisses smart cats off.

Siamese cats are more vocal than most cats in general. If this cat has never had to 'share' your mom's attention then it will be jealous of the baby. The baby makes strange noises to a cat and smells different as well all this combined made the cat act out no doubt.

Siamese dont like kids in general. When I was younger I got bit by one because I was trying to make the siamese stop hissing at my cat.

It's strange how some cat crys sound like babies crying and some babies sound like cats. Maybe the cat is saying "you sound like me, but you don't look like me...what the hell is going on here?? I'm ready to attack! You do have to be careful with Siamese cats because they are known to take your breath away while sleeping. This could be especially fatal to someone who can't defend themselves.

That's just generalizing. Doesn't mean ALL Siamese cats hate babies. I've known other breeds of cat as well as plain moggies do the same.

Siamese are mean. I've never trusted them. Often, cats will become selective about their people, esp. siamese. And some babies are very weird to cats. They smell (in more ways than one), make strange noises.... Babies and older (selective) kitties don't mix.

i have a blue point siamese, and i have been babysitting a little girl for the last five years, since she was about 6month old and whenever she came over,my cat would just run and hide, then if he came out he would be crawling like he was scared, but he slowly warmed up to her,now the cat lets her pet him, pick him up,play with him, give him treats etc.

SIAMESE CATS ARE VERY JEALOUS THEY WILL POUNCE ON SMALL KITTENS AND BITE THEM. PUT THE SIAMESE IN A SEPARATE ROOM OR SMALL CAGE TILL THE LITTLE ONES ARE OUT OF DANGER.,
