for my talent show i did " in the arms of an angel " by sarah mglauchlin. you also have to keep in mind what you can get karaoke versions to. i didnt decide what song i was doing until 2 days before mine. i got asked to sing for an upcoming beauty review for the entertainment and im doing " i hope you dance " by leann womack. good luck!

Sing I GO OUT WALKING by Garth Brooks and also sung by Patsy Cline. Its a great song with the right range for you and can be sung by a guy or a girl.

"The Wizard and I" from the musical Wicked is a good alto song.
Range requirement: G (below middle C) - E (below high C)
"I'm Not that Girl" from Wicked is also a lower alto song.
Range requirement: E (below middle C) - B (above middle C)
