I mean, if he walked on water, turned water into wine, rose form the dead, and brought a man BACK from the dead, why is the only place that has it written anywhere, the Bible. That would be like me saying i did all sorts of wonderful things, and having my friends write a book that was unverifiable. WHY ISNT THEIR MORE WRITINGS ABOUT THIS STUFF! and if their is, can someone please hip me to it?

If you are going to tell me of the miracles that are happening everyday, please cite them, give me some corroboration... because telling me miracles happen everyday is NOT proof miracles happen. And, why arent these miracles on the news every night.

Yeah, that plan is working well right now. but i still find it hard to believe that some guy sitting around following Jesus like a freaking paparazzi didnt write down his events for his tell all book of the B.C. era. So Sorry, that answer doesnt work. Iunderstand why HIS people may not have written it down, but what about the OTHER people.

boy. I really get some garbage answers. Here is the cool thing, lets use King Tut as an example. Their is a bit written about him, but here is the GREAT thing... He has been PROVEN TO HAVE EXISTED! Just like so many other past figures that didnt have much written about them. Hell, nobody WROTE about Neanderthals, but we know more about them than we do about Jesus, because they have been proven to have existed.

Yes, you would think with all the miracles and amazing events...planetary floods, the obliteration of entire cities by fire from the sky....huge towers causing all the languages of the world to form overnight...all those Jesus miracles...that SOMEONE somewhere might have reported it other than the bible. SOME historian in SOME small town like..say..ROME might have MENTIONED it as footnote, but oddly, no. Curious.

God gave us 4 (four) writings about the life of Christ. The are called the Gospels( the "good news" of Jesus Christ)
Check history books. What person , ruler, great person of history, has more written about themselves than Jesus Christ? You would be lucky to find even half that number of eyewitness accounts of that famous person.
Four witnesses is enough for those who are seeking God. A thousand would not be enough for those who do not want God.
John 20:30-31
30 Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31 But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

Well, Josephus talks about the historicity of Jesus.
On the other hand, Rabies from the times of Jesus acknowledges that he performed miracles!
On the other hand, it is difficult to the skeptical to accept the evidence. I know of miracles which have happened recently (and are happening! - for instance, miraculous healings), but people tend to doubt them; so, it is better when you yourself see it, that way others cannot tell you it was not true.

There was a lot more written, but not much of it made the canon that we read today as the Bible. Some would say only the 'agreeable' books were canonized.
Dead Sea scrolls, Nag Hammadi library...the question really is: why don't these things still happen today? hmm...don't they?

It's very simple. Jesus didn't want people to know. If you read the gospel of Mark, Jesus is constantly telling his followers not to tell anyone what he was doing. They didn't dare write anything down until they were sure he wasn't coming right back. You don't want Jesus mad at you.

What was so amazing and different about Christ was His profound humility....He repeatedly told those that he healed to NOT tell others. His own brothers tried to persuade Him to promote himself and yet he refused. He never even instucted His disciples to record His accomplishments. In fact it was this unique aspect of His ministry that caused the proud religious leaders of His day to envy, reject, and eventually execute Him. They sought a pompous, powerful King to overthrow the Romans that occupied their land. He was a "lamb" heading toward a sacrifice......refusing to resort to the self-preserving tactics of those He came to save....what a 'sublime" life.
Yet this all was the plan of God, His Father. A plan to "topple" the proud and rescue the humble of all mankind. It was genius and the proud continue to "trip" over it's utter simplicity.

The bible has no corroboratory evidence. There is nothing outside of the bible to confirm anything it says.
Again, the believers must rely on faith... However, faith is blind. It lacks rational demonstration. It conflicts with reason..

You're correct, you'd think if someone walked on water, a few people would have seen it and reported it, and it would have been recorded somewhere else. Great point!
