Since you're in BC, how about a feature shelf of Canadian wines, including a promotion for some of the smaller Okanagan VQA wines?
Also, one thing that can be helpful for displays throughout your store is a tag which gives a description of each wine's tasting notes and estimated maturity, along with serving suggestions. For example, "Decant for one hour, serve with braised lamb shanks or osso bucco."
Just a suggestion.

In addition to Amuse Bouche's suggestions, I really like seeing review snippets from Wine Spectator or other sources when I'm shopping for wine. They usually tell me the characteristics of the wine and have serving suggestions, along with a rating. They're super helpful when I'm not familiar with the brand, and I'm more likely to buy the wines with good reviews.

I agree with a Valentine's display. I know you've done Champagne, but how about a mix of Rose Champagne (or Sparkling Wines) and mid-priced red wines that have lots of bang for the buck. Put up shelf tags for what each wine would go great with and the coutry of origin or why it's spcial. Don't forget to mix Mondavis, KJs, and Beringers in with it for those who choose wines by trusting name brand recognition. : )

what is your store policy on local vineyards?doing a local "wine choice"and a favorite recipe to add to the choice?and of course the price always does factor into it but alot of wine drinkers don't always care about the price, thats if they like it.

most people display what they need to clear out in invatory so maybe something reduced in price or something that youhave too muhc of. When people see something we want it, one reason why when we see TV add for something over and over again or a song on the radio. So I suggest dissplaying what you want to sell more of, and becareful with my booze!

Ask the manager. It seems to me you would want to push the best sellers, whatever they are.
