Good question.

It's not so much that they sterilize the needle as it is that using new needles every time is the standard medical practise. The needles are disposable.

Further, lethal injections are generally considered to be a more "humane" method of execution than are others, and inflicting additional and unnecessary pain is considered to be inhumane. Reusing a needle, as any diabetic can tell you, is more painful than using a fresh one.

One all needles should be sterilized. I was watching something on TV once where a person was getting the injection and they weren't fully done putting all of it in and they got a call about the findings of his innocence. You don't want a person to get infected by a dirty needle in a case like that. You have to be prepared for anything.

Not EVERY infection that results from an injection (of any type) is the person getting the injection. Mishaps happen all the time, and you don't want any virus getting into the person/people GIVING the injection as well as those recieving it.

Everything in the USA is commercial - you should know that!! (Well, that's how outsiders see it!)

After serialising the needle, they'll make "The Chemical Mixture Reality Show" and licence all the official witnesses to appear on Jerry springer/Oprah/etc.

If you meant 'sterilise' - Again everything in the USA is commercial. "If it moves, shoot it! If it doesn't move - sue it for blocking your road!!"
Can you imagine the lawsuits if the execution was bungled and the criminal survived but got an infection???!!!

I believe you are asking why the needle is sterilized....those needles are not any different from any other medical use needles, and all of them are sterilized as a matter of common practise.

they have to because they can get sued for malpractice if they dont cause it doesn't matter if there gona die or not they have to plus it keeps the needle slick so its not hard to shove in. and it also keeps from infections being spread

Its standard medical protocal. There are policies and procedures that are followed in most things of any importance. Thes are the things that you do. I get your point but this is the reason why.
