If you mean the French word Aide, it's pretty similar. But it's not the same pronunciation
Aide : /ɛd/
Aid : /eɪd/

For the English word Aide, it's indeed pronounced the same.
Aide : /eɪd/

yes..
Aid and Aide is pronunce the same.

The 'A' in front of the "i" produces the long sounding "A" and vice versa... without even adding the "e" because the 'A' sound is more dominant. .

Look at the word "paid"..without the 'i' it would be pronounce 'Pad'..with a shorter sounding "A"....should you had a "e" at the end of Paid...it would still pronounced the same.

Hope this wasnt confusing......its soo hard to convey sounds through writing...
