I had a cat that was loosing fur like that too. It is a nervous disorder. He is probably actually chewing his fur. Take him to the vet as soon as possible. There are oral medications that you can get. Including kitty cat size Prozac. That is what my cat took for a while plus there was another medication that we would rub onto the spots where he was licking his fur off that tasted bad that kept him from doing it and eventually the problem went away. I hope this helps.

As far as the fridge, just yell at him everytime he goes for the fridge and maybe even give him a swat. He will learn after that goes on for a while.

Is the fur just falling out? I have a cat who will sit and bite chunk after chunk of fur out. She has skin allergies and does it because she is itchy. She does it a lot less when we buy her special vet recommended food.

The fridge thing made me laugh! Put a barking thing in it so when he opens it he will be scared... I don't know if that would actually work.

i myself wish you're kidding. do you recognize how risky that's to your kitty? If no longer, then permit me permit you recognize. that's somewhat risky to your kitty. Your kitty licks it extremely is fur and a few of that fur gets in it extremely is abdomen, meaning your cat is ingesting hair shade. additionally, cats shed, fairly this time of 365 days so it extremely is clever that the colour does no longer carry around. i myself wish you're some poor troll only attempting to get an improve out of individuals and not basically a clueless cat proprietor. while you're a clueless cat proprietor, please, examine some books approximately cats earlier you do something. no longer something could circulate in or on your kitty that's no longer approved for kitties.

It could be that he is over weight. Most likely he is grooming his self to much. I suggest you take him to a vet...it could also be a bacterial infection!!!
