The devil does not have the ability to kill, however, a person can make the grave mistake of inviting the devil into their heart. Lord knows the power the devil can work through misguided humans.

Acording to the story of Jobs no. He can influence someone to do something or he can actually do something with Gods permision but without permision No. He cannot.
Ofcourse we are assuming the devil really does exist. If is just an imaginary character made up to keep the religious people at bay then he can because imaginary characters can do what ever the imagination comes up with. Which is pretty much everything.

According to the Bible, the devil can only kill someone with God's permission. God allowed the devil to kill all of Job's children. God also allowed the devil to make Job very sick. God allowed this in order to prove to the devil that Job would be faithful whether good or bad occured to him.

He causes these things to happen- He deceives many, and even gets many to kill themselves! He is allowed to do his nasty work here on earth for a time being....but he is spirit too- and if you could see the spiritual world right now, in full view, I am sure you would run. he also has his demons at work- deceiving many, tempting many....all of these things lead to death, and other tragic endings...For as Jesus says in the Bible "The one who endures till the end will be saved" --that is to be focused on Him and continue seeking the Lord, never giving up faith in Him.

I think the rule is (supposed to be) that the devil can't do anything like that on his own, but he can try to tempt someone to doing something to themselves.
(Not that I believe in the devil)

only if he got permission from God, take for example Job, he said he could hurt him but god wouldn't let the devil kill him, the devil is afraid of God, and wouldn't dare do what God tells him not too

devils not real his image was put there to keep children in line...seems like its still working...but i do belive in god/higher power..there is no bad place only here and right now only in your mind..that is what makes it a bad place
