I'm using Windows Media Player, I've put mp3 tracks into the burn list, they've had a title but it doesn't get burned to the disk. Just shows Track 1, Track 2..... I'm very new to this!

I think this is to do with the software you're using for burning. Some of my CDs show track names and some just show Track1, Track 2 like yours.

The ones I created using Adaptec, the CD burning software that came with the CD drive, show track names. I can't remember what I used for the ones that don't, but I think it was whatever comes with Windows XP as I haven't got Adaptec any more. A pity, it was a great program. Maybe someone else has the answer - I'd like to know myself.

1. Make sure file name is what you want it to be.
2. Use Nero to create the CD's

Many CD burners come with a free copy of Nero but the CD's I have burned with Nero took the track names from the file names of the MP3's

At first I thought this was normal until my kid saw one of my CD's and was surprised that the song names were displayed correctly. I use Nero, he doesn't.

Use NERO Suite, Media participant or real participant all of them can artwork, even for someone who isnt that good with computers, and the excellent concern is that Media participant already comes put in such as your comptuer! :) you may acquire Nero Suite Demo's with audio downloading yet its an ordeal so it would want to easily for for like 30 days. by no ability use iTunes for buring, they in basic terms save each track right into a folder.
