Regulation and legalization and taxation. Price of drugs would fall they would be no longer means to make money for Terrorists, gangs or the maffia. Taxes on the sale of drugs collected and re-invested in the treatment of addicts. Addicts get cheap drugs no need to steal, burglarized or mugg others to get high. If someone drives under the influence send them to jail.
The way we are going we are going to jeopardize the national security of the West and America if we keep the fail policy of the War On Drugs.

We have heard the arguments about legalizing drugs on this blog many times, and most of us agree with you! The war on drugs has been lost for a long time. We cannot win it, but we could better control it if it were legal. Our enemies use the proceeds from drugs to fight against us, now if that alone isn't incentive to legalize it, than at least look at the myriad of other reasons to consider it.

Try using this argument on those weak kneed liberals in Congress. Many of those yellow livered hypocrites use this crap as part of their every day diet, but I'll bet you money, not one will stand up publicly and agree with you that legalization is the only practical thing to do.

You see my friend, we let these parasites control our lives, yet many of them are the worst offenders. Obama used coke. Clinton never inhaled. etc. etc. etc.

These poor souls all believe that sponsoring legalization would be political suicide. You show me a politician with stones big enough to sponsor legalization, and I'll show you someone that I will vote for.

I am a Christian and a prison minister and I actually agree with you. Yes, people will continue to harm themselves but prohibition did not work for booze. Legalization may work for drugs.

80% of all crime is drug and alchol related. We could free up beds for dangerous criminals and free up even more resources, over the tax income, for drug abuse prevention and education.

Most people do not realize that we spend more on our prison system alone that on welfare and education combined.

maybe not all drugs, but in legalize enough, people will use only those that are legal. Yes, if you take money out of the weed guys hands cuz everyone else is growing their own, you take that money out all down the line. trafficers usually transport multiple items, and weed is usually 80% of the load. it would not be worth to move only X% if you werent making millions off of one thing. it would dent terrorist funds and be a big bonus to america. this is a new day and age. wake up.

How about Chicago? good, regulation abiding electorate who've criminal guns are not any further committing the crimes. that is the gangsters, gang contributors, drug sellers and mentally impaired who're killing human beings. A regulation abiding citizen has a right to have guns. that is the 2d change that provides them that right. attempt taking guns faraway from criminals first then we are going to communicate!!!

Or you could do your part to try to stop drug use. Help educate kids to not get involved in drugs, form a neighborhood watch, etc.
