Parts of it are beautiful and wonderful places to raise kids.. Then again, like any city of size, parts of it are not for kids, not even for adults for that matter... If you go get a good Realtor that can put you in a safe place for your kids sake... Jim

I currently live in Dallas/Ft Worth and I hate it here. I am moving ASAP. The people are friendly but do not want to be friends. Everything is flat and the weather is horrid. There isnt a lot to do unless you like lake camping all the time, or you REALLY like City life.
Every single morning when my husband and I turn on the news before we go to work we hear about a police officer getting shot.
But thats just me. Of course - I moved from Southern California, and out there, there is too much to do that you cant fit everything in.

I have been searching to move out of California and have researched Texas. It seems like Austin and San Antonio are the two places that are popular for young families.
I was now thinking about Santa Fe or Taos, any good Pentecostal or similar type churches over in that are?
There are some good Churches in Texas, by the way.

That is hard to say in this day and age- but to just continually pray for the Lord's hedge of protection over your kids and your family....wherever you settle.

Plano is good, but its expensive. Red Oak is also good, Mckinney is a great town, and Valley ranch is also good.
