Go on-line and search for a flight school in your area(look for an approved FAA part 61 or part 141 school). Take a demo flight to see if this is what you want to do. If so, then sit down and talk to your instructor about your interest. He/she will help you get that license you want. Private pilot license is roughly around $4000.00, this is cheaper than an academy, but it will take longer. You have build up flight time. From there you can work your way up to get your commercial license.

Another way is to go to an academy or university. These school will take less time to build flight hours. It is an accelerated course you should get your commercial license in about 10 months or so. It can cost up to $60K, but they have grants and student loans for this....

Here are some school you can check out on-line.

if u are in the US, its hard, because all those posts from above are true, and yes, first you need to get a Private Pilot License, then IFR, then Commercial, then MultiEng, then ATP, of course ATP, you'll need 1000 hours first, then you'll spent about 5 years in a regional airline flying to small cities and eating McDonalds, then maybe when you have several thousand hours, you can look for another. Of Course, if you have a citizenship somewhere in Asia, their airlines have cadet programs which sponsors all of the above w/ everything paid for. A lot of airlines are needing pilots in Asia, in which they are willing to pay for the training. 2~3 years of harsh training (like I did) and then you'll become their First Officer (like I did) and never go home again

Spend 12 years in the Air Force or Navy flying planes. When you get out, you can get in line with all the other pilots looking for work.
