They are not kept in the same cage as one another. I just want to know if it is safe to put them together outside of the cage.

Yes they can, but keep an eye on them because they could getup to mischief. Depending on the personalities of the birds it could be wonderful or it might just not work.

When my cockatiel is out with the budgies they tend to gang up on him and play tricks. One will distract him while the other sneaks up behind and pulls his Crest. Or all 5 will dive bomb him because he doesn't fly as well as they do. But there are 5 of the budgies and only one of him so that probably has something to do with it.

Also, they never do any real harm. Its all just playful and fun and nothing is injured except my cokateil's pride.

So basically, as long as you keep an eye on them it should be perfectly fine. If they seem to be getting aong keep it up but if they are getting into serisou fights, keep their out of cage time seperate. Good luck!

Yes, but depending on personality and temperament, you may or may not have some risks associated. As long as it's always supervised, the two species in general should be fine sharing a playgym.

They wouldn't be able to hurt each other. Just put them together for awhile and see if they get along. I suspect they will not if they were caged apart for a long time. Just don't leave them alone for awhile until you've seem them interact for a long time and are sure.
