You're welcomed to answer wether you're athiest, Muslim (Like me :] ) christians or even on crack.
According to the Big Bang, Why did matter turn into protons, electrons and neutrons some time after the explosion? why were there fixed and accurate laws of physics controling the evolution of matter? why isn't matter something else other than the known subatomic particles?
according to the theory, the heat was so intense that laws of physics were not in order, and didn't function till some time after the bang, when things cooled down, So that leads us to...
Was there a creator which pre-set these laws?
a better Question: where the hell did the (Cosmic soup) or (prime Atom) or whatever you want to call it come from?

Brane strain, i almost had an orgasm from your answer, good argument.
"If thats an unanwerable question why not save a step and say where the universe came from is an unanswerable question."
But the universe is matter, we an see and feel it, it came from something which we can make sure that exist, God is not Limited by Space and/or time.
and according to the cell theory, the first cell did not come from another one, can the same apply to the universe?

SH: how can you say that? it's all accurate!
The sun fuses 4.3 * 10e12 grams of H every second, but it's exactly the right ammount ! you say that we evolved to suite this? why can't it be the other way around?
look at the Planet's orbit and the shifting between night and day! and how we use the night to regenerate our energy! it's fascinating.
I truly thank all who have read and answered! Shame on those who gave others thumbs down.

BRANE-There are major outstanding problems with the ekpyrotic scenario. Foremost among them is that colliding branes are not understood by string theorists, and nobody knows if the scale invariant spectrum will be destroyed by the big crunch, or even what happens when two branes collide. Moreover, like cosmic inflation, while the general character of the forces (in the ekpyrotic scenario, a force between branes) required to create the vacuum fluctuations is known, there is no candidate from particle physics. Moreover, the scenario uses some essential ideas from string theory, principally extra dimensions, branes and orbifolds. String theory itself is a controversial idea in the physics community.
Detractors of the original ekpyrotic scenario point out that it requires fine-tuned, nearly supersymmetric initial conditions, and thus replaces the problems solved by cosmic inflation with a new set of problems. The original scenario has been supplanted by a new more flexible and successful set of ideas, embodied in the cyclic model.

The laws of physics can never break, by definition if they changed we'd just need different laws.
That doesnt happen in the ekpyrotic model of M-theory though, does it? Do you have a cosmological model to impress physicists or is it the old theory A fails so theory B must be right - dont you see the logical fallacy? Of course not you're a theist, you have no truck with logic and reason.
You don't need a creator to finetune the laws of physics before the Universe began (though if you've made him retreat that far you're doing well) imagine a trillion universes beginning at once all with random physical laws - why do we find ourself in this one? Because we know this one has laws which are conducive to chemical bonding the the formation of life under the right circumstances. We don't need god for anything.
Let your superstition go. There's more wonder and awe to be found in real science. The best thing is, they'll never ask you to take it on faith, you can investigate the methods, test the results for yourself, come up with a better explanation if you can - just remember - 'god did it' explains absolutely nothing and if everything had a creator, who created god?
If thats an unanwerable question why not save a step and say where the universe came from is an unanswerable question.
*Why thumbs down? Do the religious people not like big words? Thumbs down is for bad answers - not ones you dont agree with!*

Well regardless of what the laws were that emerged, if they allowed life to evolve, you or someone/thing else could be asking the same question right now.
And if the theory about infinite universes making up the multiverse is correct then there may be infinitiely many universes some with laws that allow life and order to emerge and some that remain cosmic gases.
If the laws that arise do not allow life to eventually form there is noone to ask the question but if it does, then maybe their laws are completely different that ours and they would ask the same question of their elementary laws.
It is possible that the first intelligence to evolve to singularity in each universe graduates to diety and goes on to create other universes in their image either in this universe or creates a new dimension and injects it with new cosmic soup.

Hmmm ... maybe science doesn't have all the answers. But there is a logical order to the entire universe. This much I surmise. And it would look like matter was created literally out of thin air.
Which brings up the element of intelligent design. Some being, beyond our wildest comprehension, must be behind all this. Stuff just doesn't happen.
I'm putting my money on the God of the bible. Why? Because I haven't heard of another being who has made a claim to being the creator of the universe.

Why are you amazed at the way physics worked at the point of eruption?
It all appears random to me. You all seem to assume that the rules were set before hand. What if there were no rules? What if a trillion different things could have happened, and it turned out that the laws of physics became the way they are, instead of something different?
There's no reason to assume that there was any fine-tuning involved. In fact, looking at the universe, there doesn't seem to be any order whatsoever. It's utterly chaotic.
Clumps of matter strewn about the universe held together by the gravity that happens to accompany all matter. Where's the order? We're just a chain reaction, not guided in any way. Nothing special.

Not to burst your bubble but it's a pretty common argument. And not a very sound one since the same questions can be asked about God. Basically when we get to that point in the creation of the world, once has to ask themselves what they want to believe, because there is no proof. Many lean with scientific ideas, many with God being eternal, many with the Universe being eternal, and many with a one of many combinations of both.
No one can prove anything about that. You have to realize that science doesn't answer it, and either does religion, we can only guess.

The emergence of the universe was the emergence of space and time. Thus, any question about "before the universe existed" or "where the universe came from" is incoherent.

I think your theory's a tad off, as to the creator determining at what temperature, etc. etc.
I think it would be a more likely scenario that the Godhead would have come in, split into the Goddess and the God so there would be balance from the beginning, and then cooled things down. From there evolution proceeded as the scientists theorize.

If time is maleable then physics at the beginning of time could be different. Not everything that has order requires a consciousness to have put it in order.

God created the universe to show the signs of His creation. However, the unbelievers cannot understand this fact since they do not have the ability to "see" this divine purpose. As the Qur'an expresses it:
"They have eyes with which they do not see." The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 7, Verse 179. With their materialistic vision, they do not have the wisdom and comprehension to grasp this important reality. Believers are quite different from this "blind" category, because they realize and accept that the whole universe is created by God with a certain aim and wisdom. This belief is a first step of faith.
In the Islamic tradition, progress in faith is in three steps: being informed, seeing and experiencing. Seeing the signs of God and not being "blind" like the unbelievers, require a high degree of concentration. In the Qur'an, the believers are called to observe and notice the signs of God around them and this is only possible by being careful:
"See you the seed that you sow in the ground? Is it you that cause it to grow, or are We the Cause?" The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 56, Verses 63-64
"See you the water which you drink? Do ye bring it down (in rain) from the cloud or do We?" The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 56, Verses 68-69
And God states in another verse that the blind could not be held equal to the seeing and asks "Will you then consider not?" The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 6, Verse 50
One should train oneself to recognize the signs of God and should always keep them in mind. Otherwise, the mind will start to wander, jumping from one topic to another, wasting time in thinking about useless things. This is a kind of unconsciousness; you cannot control your mind when you lose concentration in God. You cannot focus on a subject. Indeed, you cannot conceive the truth behind events, nor can you ever have the competence to affect the course they take. On the contrary, your mind is directed by stray happenings. You are "bewildered" all the time, which is not the attribute of the believer, but of the unbeliever.
Believers, on the other hand, are the ones who direct their minds better to perceive God, and who try in better ways to serve His religion.
