Is somebody going to take you to school or will there be family or other people you know in the area? If you can get everything you're taking into boxes (as in, you're not taking furniture) you can send it via Greyhound. It will not be delivered to where you'll be living, but to the local Greyhound terminal. So, you'll need a car, temporarily, to get your stuff from Greyhound to where you're living. However, the shipping will be much lower than UPS or the post office. Greyhound will not take anything electronic, so those things will have to go UPS or USPS.

Well you could rent a van, earlier the better for prices. Or you could have someone with a car drive with you and give them some money for their troubles.
