ive got a lump underneath my left nipple. theres one under my right one as well, but its smaller.

Yes you can. Cysts are usually caused by trauma, in your case "purple nurples". It is not dangerous to your health but it is very annoying. keep warm compresses on the area to reduce it's size and its possible it will even go away. If you hate it to much and don't want to wait, go see a dermatologist and they can remove it.
You should see them anyways because it could be a tumor or even cancer.

Absolutely! Any repeated stressor on any part of the body is dangerous. I know of 2 people who have developed cancer from things similar to what your are describing. Change your friends, or get your family to express their 'fondness' for you in a different way. Best of luck.
