I am getting married in the summer and we are planning a garden wedding ceremony. We have a Harpist who will play at the start of the ceremony and may play during the ceremony if we wish. It is traditional to have hymns during a ceremony, however we are a little unsure if hymns would work outside. I was wondering if you could offer any suggestions that we may be able to incorporate into our ceremony in the garden. Thank you for your time. Kind Regards.

Topiaries lend a garden feel. Have two large topiaries at the altar or lining the aisle- or both.
Hymns will be fine, but you can choose the instrumental version to any song you like. Look online at wedding harpist websites. Most have samples you can listen to online -that will help you decide.
String twinkle lights in the garden at the reception for added romance.
Best wishes!

I don't know if you are speaking of music or any suggestions for a garden ceremony so I will try to give ideas for both. Any music, for the most part, is acceptable for a garden ceremony. Hymns are a nice part, but if there is a song that evokes memories of you and your betrothed, something you first danced to or during a special time together, this would be a nice addition. Regarding other elements of a garden ceremony, a butterfly or dove release is very spectacular, giving guests flower petals at the beginning of the ceremony to throw after you are married coming down the aisle is also beautiful. If your ceremony is at dusk, it is nice to incorporate candles (which are passed out to guests when they arrive). This is especially effective during your unity candle ceremony. After you and your groom light the center unity candle, you both pick it up and walk it over to the maid of honor and best man's candles where they light their candles and then they take their candles as the bridesmaids light their candles from those and then the bridesmaids and groomsmen go into the audience and light the front row and the front row light others and the flame is passed until everyone's candle is lit. The bride and groom are standing in the front middle holding their candle together. The officiant says something to the effect of, "This light represents how each one of you have been a light to us...how we want to spread our flame of love to you. May it never be extinguished." The flame can represent a lot of things so...have fun with it. This also makes for some INCREDIBLE photos! I really don't have any suggestions for hymns but if you could get Raid to sponsor your wedding in exchange for product demonstration, that would be great! The bugs are going to have a filed day! I got married in a guarden, overlooked that fact and regretted it for months to come. People are still commenting about the bug bites and the colony of red ants that invaded the buffet! Make sure to have that base covered!
