OMG.......Look out theres a pack of wild beagles right behind you!!!!!! Sorry, but beagles were created threw many many years of selective breeding. There are no natural wild beagles anywhere. There may be a few people dumped and became feral but, never wild!!!

Beagles never were wild animals. The closest ancestor of any dog is the grey wolf, but wolves and dogs are not the same. There are no dogs like we know them today in the wild.

Many purebreds couldn't survive as a species in the wild, anyway. Purebreds tend to be more fragile in genes than other more original dogs. For example, the beagle's big floppy ears are very prone to infection, and this would be a serious fault for a wild animal.

The domestic dog has been altered in many ways from its original version. People have played on genetic mutation and purposely bred them for traits that would cause them to never survive in the wild, for example, a squashed-in nose that restricts their breathing.

I think on this one--this breed was created by mankind from other existing domesticated breeds that were already in play---and never were in a "wild" state to speak of......
But, then again, my friend Jerry has Beagles (3) and it gets pretty wild over there from time to time !!

Have a look at this link - it should tell you what you want to know, although "Beagles" were never wild dogs, their ancestors were kept as hunting hounds.

are you serious??? its not like packs of wild beagles have ever been out there running around.

All dogs originated from the wolf. They are all in the canine species, & can interbreed with each other.

From the wolf, same as all other dogs. They are pack animals and lived in dens, the same as wolves still do.
