Hi pplz!
Just a quick q coz im in a really horrible state of sheer ANNOYANCE! Basically im 21 y/o and have suffered from exczema all my life but its cleared up everywhere (only a lil bit recurring during times of extreme temps ie mainly in summer) but its still really bad at the back of my knees. I know i shouldnt itch it but i HAVE to..its awful-i can sit there for half an hour and literally scour myself to death! I use my long nails, flannels, exfoliating beads 2 itch so now the backs of knees are red raw and i get pain when i move them. Another reason im worried (i know this is a superficial thing) but im scarring the backs of my knees now - im Indian Asian origin and have a nice golden brown skin colour but theyre turning very dark dark brown with rounded brown scars and dry skin and rashes everywhere! Im using Bio-Oil but it doesnt seem to help! Please can sum1 recommend a cream/tablet or any course of action-im scratching myself to death and i wanna be able to wear skirts! Thanks!

Get AQUAPHOR!! (I think that is how you spell it). I believe it is made by Eucerin. It is a thick vaseline-like cream that works miracles. It is a bit more expensive than ordinary lotions though. And a little bit greasy. Problem solved!!

Go to the doctor and get a dose of predisone to kick it out, you should only have to take is for a week, then ask for a steroid cream for the in-between times, eucerin cream will help too.I have eczema really bad and when I have really bad outbreak-like at season change-- the steroids do the trick. good luck

my mom has excema on her hands. when she couldn't afford to buy her kenalog ointment, she used to boil regular oatmeal with extra water, strain off the water into a bowl & soak her hands in the water. worked really well. maybe you could soak a cloth with it & put it on the backs of your knees. things that made my mom break out were honey & strawberries. she tried her best to avoid those but it isn't always possible

There is a product I know more about called Renew. It is a skin lotion from a company called Melaleuca. There have been testimonials from people who have eczema or know people who do who have used it and have gone long lengths of time without another outbreak. I want to tell you more about it. Please e-mail me at teatreelifestyle@aim.com. I am truly here to help. I promise.
