Or does it just taste better?
Are all farmed salmon of the same quality?
Are there any studies that state that ALL farmed salmon is an inferior product?
Could some salmon culturists be more carefull with what they feed their stock & avoid the problems of overcrowding?

Studies have found the food coloring in some of the farm raised is bad for you. Only thing is you would have to eat way more than a normal person to get THAT harm. Farmed salmon taste better but might be twice as expensive. Costco has GREAT farmed salmon $4.99#. the best wild salmon is Copper River salmon - YUM.

Wild salmon (as well as will fish in general) has a much better flavor than wild caught and farm raised salmon. However, it could be (not is) filled with ocean contaminants, including mercury. Wild salmon also has a higher content of Omega 3 fatty acids.

It is the antibiotics put in the water of farmed salmon, not the overcrowding that causes the problem. The antibiotics are put there to avoid diseases that are spread by the over crowding.

That said, salt content is probably just as important. Farmed salmon with less salt content are better for you than wild salmon processed with high salt content.

Ive read this once that Wild is better for you because of the wild food the salmon eats vs. farm food. However.....Wild usually cost 2 - 4 more dollars per lb and frankly i like the flavor of farm salmon better even though it is pumped with dyes and or things. I usually buy wild 25% of the time to keep me balanced. :)

there may be much less mercury, however the mercury stages in salmon shouldn't difficulty you just about as lots using fact the stages of mercury interior the canned (or sparkling) tuna you eat. it is likewise going to count on the place your salmon comes from, no longer all fish are equivalent. you may additionally decide for to contemplate what your meal has been fed in it relatively is lifetime -- it varies from farm to farm, yet you ought to wind up eating something it relatively is been swimming in it relatively is own dirt using fact it replaced right into a fry, and has been eating in particular on floor-up freeze-dried chickens. i'm no longer asserting that that's a reason to no longer eat any particular farm-raised salmon (or the different farm-raised fish), although that's relatively worth pondering. And in basic terms using fact some fish have slightly mercury, that does no longer recommend that we could consistently forget approximately approximately all the different wellness and environmental components surrounding their harvesting. Wild salmon tastes plenty greater advantageous, exceptionally in case you will get it on the ultimate time of the 365 days. once you're purely eating it a pair of situations a month, you could no longer additionally be annoying approximately those issues. in basic terms savour your meal.
