When my son was born, I looked at him and thought, I don't love you as much as I love Hannah (my daughter)...that lasted all of maybe two days. I love my kids equally, but for different reasons.

I've asked this question before, but I didn't get to answer it. Most people said no it's not possible. Or they said there is a child who's personality is more compatible with mine, but I don't treat them different even though I like to be around them more. For me, I have 3 girls, and I honestly believe that love like you have for your children can't be measured in amounts. Like you can't say I love this child more or less you just love them all. But you do have a child that you may want to be around more. Whether it is because they are sick, or they respond more positively to your affection, or they don't bug you to death. My oldest daughter automatically started favoring my husband from birth and she still does. But she is older and can do more cool stuff, so we do stuff together more. My 2nd is a mommy's girl and her personality resembles mine more, so we cuddle more. Now with our 3rd being only 6 months old, I can't say whether I will spend more or less time with her, but since she screams so much lately I don't mind handing her off! But honestly I like to be around my 2nd daughter the most for the time being.

Sometimes I think I do and then one of the other one does something adorable and I say "What am I nuts?" One is easier to deal with and the others are harder. But it's insane to think that only one of your kids can be your favorite - yes one is a lot like me and I feel a special bond with her but the other 2 are thier daddy and I feel a special (but different bond with them) - I tell them all seperately, "Don't tell you sister or brother but you're my favorite" and then I will go to the other 2 and do the same thing. it's cute and they know I do it to all of them! So I guess my answer is although you love all your kids for different reasons - I don't think you can pick just one.

My son!!! Of course he is my only child but if i did have more than 1 kid i would not be having favorites because that is just wrong and hurts the other child that you do that way. People should not do their own kids that way..In a way that is a form of abuse well it is mental abuse.

I have five children. I love all my children an equal amount, though I get along better with some than I do with others. We all have different personalities, sometimes we clash. But when the s@#t hits the fan, they can all count on moms non-judgemental support, and unconditional love. Always.

this is an exceedingly annoying question to respond to yet coming from my POV.. I even have lost a toddler at 11 days previous.. and nicely i think of no remember what sick love him greater advantageous than any of my destiny little ones, no longer purely replaced into he my first, yet although he didnt make it I nevertheless sense a large bond between him and that i. and yet i will love my destiny young little ones like no day after today, yet they are going to in no way be My First, in case you recognize what I recommend. God Bless all and sundry :)

I have 8 children
I have to say that I had thought in one I was getting a mini me for he was doing so many things that I was like--then there was something that the next one did that was like wow she is like me
As time went on (and more children) I realised I was wanting a mini me and it was not possible. I love and adore each and everyone of them as they are and who they are for what they make of themselves not for me or their dad but for themselves.
One time one will be the one I connect with better and one who upsets the apple cart. sometimes it will seem like they all gang up and upset the apple cart but all we all love each other and deal with each other and well it is a family indeed.

i have 2 children, one 6 and one 8, and i don't think its about favorites but for me lewis my youngest (as i am having no more children) he is my baby so you want to protect them.....my eldest says to me on occasions (you love lewis more than me ) but its not that you just want to hang on to that kind of innocence and babyness especially as i am having no more kids,,, but looking back it is and was the same for me an my brother even now he is there baby he is 27 and being in the kind of work that i talk to lots of different people they are all the same...........its nothing personal but you cant feel the same for all your children even though you love them the samexxxxxxxxxx

I love both of my children equally. But I do tend to favor my daughter more than my son. She is the younger of the two & he is always picking on her & making her cry & what not. He is always hyper (ADHD) & drives me nuts sometimes! She is not nearly as loud & rowdy. But I do love both of my children the same.
