Many things we can see are not worth placing our faith in. If God appeared to us and said, "Now you can believe in me because you can see me," would we then be worthy of His mercy and grace?

We are not worthy of His mercy and grace. It is only through the blood of Jesus that God will accept us. People did see God (Jesus). He walked amoung them and they refused to accept Him as God. Instead they killed Him and hung Him on a cross.

Sure He would be! Why not! Do we human parents make it difficult and tricky for our children to believe in us and love us.

Many things we can see are not worth putting our faith in. AND all things that we CANNOT see aren't worth it either. I cannot see Zeus and Wonko the Space Gerbil. I also don't believe in them!

You just talked me into believing in all mythologies.

What could be easier than handing your self direction over to some unseen savior and switching all thought off.

Why would that change anything, except to make it easier for those who need to see something to accept?

God does appear to us constantly. If you don't see Him, you haven't been looking.

You still haven't answered whether you would believe in the Goddess if she came down to you and proved who she is.
