I use Excel spreadsheet that I designed myself but used some others as guides. Money & Quicken are just too much work to get a budget. Also Dave Ramsey has some budget software but I don't know about it.

Here's what I recommend: Buy & read The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey www.daveramsey.com

or if you send me your email address I'll email you a blank copy of my Excel Budget.

I use Accounts & Budget. It's very cheap and works well for me. They have a free version too...so you can try it out before you buy it to make sure it will do everything you want it to.

Microsoft Money or Quicken. There are thirty dollar versions, available online.

The discipline to maintain them is the priceless part. Good luck!
