Kids can learn alot og grace & motor skills from sports. I would try to teach him what is rough playing and what is good then I would put him in little league baseball, basketball & soccer!!! It will do wonders for him in the future. Its been shown that kids who play sports have more self esteem, are less likely to become obese & usually get along better with others

Good Luck! ;-)

Try to sit down and explain to him that it is easy to get hurt or hurt other people if you are not carefull.
Explain that it hurts other children and that he wouldnt like it if someone else hurt him.
At six years old if you sit down and explain it to him he will understand.
Maybe even try making it into a story.
But to be honest lots of children are like this at this age, they end up getting caught up in what they are doing and forget!

Is he larger than others his age? Has he brothers/sisters?
He probably just gets too involved and doesn't think. Try to encourage him to be careful when playing. Don't stop him playing if he isn't intending to hurt anyone. I wonder if you have watched him playing, or if someone has complained?
Do others ever hurt him when playing?

Easy, Explain to him he is a very strong boy for his age, and that he should save his might for good and for saving people.
Watch Bam Bam on the Flintstones, explain how he could accidentally hurt someone.

Get him in to a contact sport like rugby. Fantastic. For the first time in his life, he will be actively encouraged to throw his weight around (and will also learn how to take it)
