I know it already is but why what does vista have that home edition or pro edition doesnt.

Short answer is just a better paint job and a hunger for RAM. I would not run it with less than a gig.

Windows Vista has a a lot of new features. The good among the are Flip 3D and Windows Aero

Supposedly games are supposed to run faster on vista, as well as the overall OS itself as well. More in the link.

new securiy features, beter graphics engine=everything will be 3D. Overall microsoft focused on making the users experience more visualy pleasing and the computer more stable. I've already bought my copy (Ultimate) its on its way now.
