Although many people are against taking anti depresants, they really help with this type of condition. Many people who have never suffered from social anxiety just dont understand what its like and are so quick to judge or say, just get over it. Depnding on the severety of the condition there are many meds that can help. Xanex XR, for example, is nice because you can get it in a very low dose, and it is time released so you dont feel drugged up when you take it.

try an anti-depressant. I'm 30 and have suffered from that since I was 13. Anti-depressants usually do the trick. Each one works differently on each person though. Lexapro has been best for me.
