if he pays the bills and bought the tv then he can watch whatever he wants. i think perhaps tom and jerry was a good memory in his childhood, somthing to turn to after a long hard day at school. so let him be. i am addicted to mary tyler moore reruns. i now have netflix send me the tv series when i "miss" my fave single gal. watching her when i was young made me dream of what kind of woman i'd be. well i'm nothing like mary tyler moore, so now and then i watch her and in my mind i go back to dreaming. just let him be, and love the heck out of him! good luck!

45 ain't that old honey. And why do care if he likes Tom & Jerry?! You probably have way more annoying likes and dislikes. At least he doesn't have an alcohol addiction or molest you! Count your blessings and back off.

My Dad LOVES Bugs Bunny cartoons!, so seeing another Dad like Tom and Jerry seems quite normal to me. Besides, it's pretty funny stuff.
I bet when I'm in my fourties or beyond, I'll still love the original 80's Transformers, Thundercats, Silverhawks, and G.I Joe cartoons.

Tom and Jerry is the name of an alcoholic drink and also cartoon characters. He could be addicted to either of them but hopefully to the cartoons. If this is the case, don't stop him, join him. If it is the alcohol, join Al anon.

How would you feel if your father tried to interfer with what you wanted to do with your life. I'm sorry but your dad has a right to live any way he chooses and if he wants to spend his time watching Tom and Jerry, that's up to him.

I'm 29 and love watching Rocky and Bullwinkle and Spongebob. I like Tom and Jerry. Maybe this is just something that your father really likes from his childhood. There's nothing wrong with it. He could have been a porn freak.

Let your dad get his kicks. He's not that old. If Tom and Jerry makes him happy let him watch it, don't you want him to be happy? It's better than him drinking whiskey every night.

Leave him alone-Would you rather him be depressed? My father likes Bugs Bunny and he is in his fifties! The Bible says that laughter is like a good medicine. He is getting his required dosage, be happy, it could be soap operas!
