Haven't been to many debates have you?
To say either the atheist or the Christian is not knowledgeable, especially those in a forum such as a debate is only showing their ignorance on the matter. Just because they have a different viewpoint on a subject doesn't not mean they are not knowledgeable or ignorant.
Did anyone know more about this universe more than Einstein? Yet even he admitted that his "fudge factor" was incorrect and that God does not play dice with the universe. Was He ignorant?
Also stating that more atheists know more about the Bible than Christians is an absurd assumption without empirical data for it's foundation.

No I dont think atheists are more educated with the bible Maybe they know just as much but I dont think it matters if your a christian or atheists it depends on who your debating it with not all christians who claim they know the bible front to back actually know it like they say they do same goes for atheists since everyone enterprets the bible in there own way of what they think it means to them. Ya maybe atheists are known to take out many christians in debates but i dont think thats because atheists are more educated with the bible i think its because people are introduced to alot of other theories and not believing in God keeps them having an open mind about these theories and when christians are presented with these theories they dont know what to say because 1 they cant change your beliefs and they know what they beleive in and thats not going to change so why argue? or there not true christians which all their faith is in God and then the theroies mix with their beleifs and just totaly confuses the **** outta them knoone in the world really knows if God is real or not but if he wasent then why would the bible keep kickin around for so long? it wouldent have lasted this many years if it was just a thing. Religion and non religion is a very touchy topic since noone really knows thats why not alot of people talk about religion to much controversy :) thas just my thoughts. Have a nice Day!

Christians have Spiritual discernment which is 90% of the Bible. Without this you might consider you are winning an argument that you do not understand the meaning. Most Christians would consider arguing scripture with an atheist much the same as explaining color to a blind man.

Very many atheists were raised as christians and read the bible in their early years. The difference was the soon-to-be atheists thought about what they were reading rather than just takiing it at face value. This did two things; it showed them that the bible was nothing more than a collection of stories, and it also caused them to remember what they had read because they actually thought about it. Many christians only know the tiny fragments of the bible that the clerics du jour spew at them. Just look at alot of the answers you end up seeing here when you get 10 to 15 people all spouting off the exact same verse like a parade of bleating sheep. Do they even know the context of those verses? I seriously doubt it.

it's too broad of a generalization. I'm sure SOME atheists are more educated about the Bible than SOME Christians. There are also some Christians who are well studied in their beliefs.
In the end though, you can't PROVE God. It does all come down to faith.

Well, aside from your grammatical issues, where is your empirical evidence to support your belief?
If you're going by your experience on Y/A, then perhaps you may have something there. As a former christian who is well-versed in the bible, I've found that the majority of christians on here do not have a working knowledge of it, or of church history, science, et al.. but, I know plenty of christians outside this arena who are knowledgeable in many areas, and specifically in the bible.

No.
Atheists like to copy and past small tid-bits of text they think serve their purposes. I will never bend to the "logic" they fain as truth to prove their points. If they take something out of context you can say nearly anything with the words of the Bible. I have studied the Bible extensively and will not back down from a logical debate.

What hardcore proof? What about atheists stories and myths? You try to tell us that we started out as a tadpole "millions" of years ago, and that is not blind faith???? It is not blind faith to believe the earth and the entire universe exists from a big bang?? What about the hardcore proof of showing that one species evolved from another species??? You can't show zippity doo dah. When you study the Bible your purpose is to find its faults and inconsistencies. I doubt that you would know how to study the Bible properly in order to extract its truths.

Not necessarily, there are some Christians that spend all there free time reading the bible, they could know more about it then any Atheist :)
i personally don't read the bible very much ((I'm an Atheist)) but i always keep it on my bookshelf, when i ask a question about Christians i always get bible numbers and books, but i never get the whole verse! it's very frustrating, so i keep my old bible on my bookshelf.

YES! Because we have taken the time to study everything and aren't threatened by learning. Personally, I used to be a born-again Christian, but I did not stifle my curiousity. I studied many things for many years and finally came to my own conclusions. I can quote the Christian bible, the Torah, Buddhist teachings, ancient Celtic and Egyptian teachings, and many others because I do not limit myself.
