Jesus was not an adversary. He was a somewhat misguided, not overly learned, itinerant preacher who allowed the messianic fervor of his followers to go to head.

That said, I believe that Jesus has, through Paul's creation of christianity, brought the world much closer to the advent of the real messiah. Christianity has taken billions of actual and would-be pagan (idolators) and brought them closer to the One True God. Maimonides, perhaps the greatest Jewish philosopher in the last 1000 years, said that while Christianity is idolatry for a Jew...it is not for a gentile...and is, in fact, a very positive step towards where all of the gentile world should be holding.

Of course, Maimonides only knew Roman Catholicism and the Easter Orthodox flavors of Christianity. I wonder what he would think of Protestantism.

99.9% of all Jews (actually Hebrews) didn't know Jesus existed. He irritated the leadership and they saw to it he died, just as they did with all other perceived enemies. The killing of perceived enemies was a practice vigorously pursued by the Christian leadership that followed. The rest of your question doesn't quite make sense.

Jesus was a Jew considered at the time by the Hebrews to be a dangerous reformist.
