I would think upper body. Almost anything were all your doing is ether sitting up or laying down. some stomach crunches, weights, things like that. As long as it doesn't involve your knee it shouldn't be much of a problem.

I have had 2 knee surgical procedures from activities injuries and one became finished reconstruction and the perfect workout i'll recommend is to swim. that is an staggering workout consultation and it also makes your knee sense more effective perfect. you'll do higher body routines also. yet I were on your position and swimming became a existence saver! If you can walk and/or put some weight on it, try running in water. The water reduces your weight by 3/4 and the resistance of the medium can really give you a work out.
The have water aerobics too. Often these are for geriatrics, but you can attend too.

Your doctor would be the only one who'd know the answer to that, you don't want to hurt any other parts of your body, either, by compensating for the knee. I hope you heal soon!

maybe boxing for cardio.....
