No, I would be very against it. I wouldn't want my kids or grandkids to fight for Arabs who didn't rid themselves of Saddam or stand up for themselves for as country, and who now are participating in a sectarian civil war. Its not up to us to fight for their freedom, its up to them and if they can't, they don't deserve it.
Don't confuse pride in the military with going to war right now.
My father and husband were in the Air Force and its not the profession of soldier I wouldn't want for them, but the prospect of fighting for the protection of another country, not our own.

I would be proud to be there parent i have 2 babies and my husband is currently serving this country although people do not approve of this war our troops are just doing there job people state this war is wrong tell that to the president lol it is him and congress who decides so i would support my kids in any choice they make they would be doing it for themselves not for the president. My husband loves it although he is in Iraq and i am proud of him and who he has become he has grown so much and i think that for a child to have a man as a dad and look up to anyone in the military and join id say go for it!!!! support our troops for them not for what they've been sent to do.

I would let my children go if it is really what they wanted to do. I would be very concerned about them. However, my husband is in the service and I could not be more proud to be the wife of an Army man. As for my children, I would feel the same way about them.

I support the war. I would be worried if my kids joined (not quite old enough yet) but would be proud of them and support their decision. After all, it would be their decision, not mine.

I like to believe that I am doing right by my kids, and am raising them to know and do what is right.

this war and every other that proceeds it (WW3 ) are wars for a global elite people that go to war for personal wealth and a sick agender , they own the world banks , the oil companys , the federal reserve , the media and every monopoly going . they see the average person as cattle and cannon foder .

if it were fighting for my country then by all means but its not its fighting for a sick minority who want to enslave and will through wars, big brother and a total police state .

so my advice is odviously no i wouldnt agree with my child doing that , i dont support the war its illegal and more like genocide than war.

My son is in the National Guard Reserve and is thinking of going active to go to Iraq. YES, I support him. He is almost 21. I am amazed at his willingness to fight for our country And the fact he could help the innocent Iraqi people. People forget that our troops are helping the Iraqi people that are not terrorists. God Bless Our Troops!

I would respect their decision. Of course, I would ask questions of them and make sure that they knew the serious nature of this decision.

I do support this war as well as supporting our people serving us. To my view, they are not mutually exclusive. I only wish we were fighting this war with the savage intensity that war requires and not trying to fight a huggy-feely CareBear politically correct war.

I would worry for the safety of my kids but I would support them 1000%. I'm a parent, it's what I do.

You people make me effin sick. The ones who say "my kids arent that stupid". Excuse me for having some damn pride in my country and enlisting in the military. Im sick of you people thinking that military people are stupid, not everyone here said it, but enough of you have. I guess when i enlisted, my 2 bachelor degrees became null and void. So, if you have never served, or never will, just say thank you to anyone in the military and shut the hell up.

My son enlisted in the US Army after I was medically retired due to things that happened to me in Iraq.

I am both proud of him and concerned for him.

I don't support Dubya's War but I would support my kid if he or she desired to join. Heck, I spent two years Army and four years Air Farce, oops, I meant Force.

If my child were mature intelligent, informed and felt that they wanted to contribute toward defending our way of life--I would worry, I would let them make up their own mind and I would be SO PROUD of them. In fact---I am!!!
