There requirements are killing me. Ok, well, I had a 26 ACT score. Now, I need to be ranked so much in my school. Well, in my school a 4.0 makes you ranked like 10. I had a 3.0 pretty much through the whole thing. A lot of kids had higher than a 4.0 in my school, pretty much everyone had honors. I got jacked going to the school i did. But the question is, will colleges look at how good my high school was and have sympathy lol. I should have tried in school I screwed myself too. One more thing, I did gymnastics for 4 years but it wasn't with the school. Can i still say I did 4 years gymnastics? Also, I do a lot of my own hobbies do those count or do they have to be organized?

You can add the four years of gymnastics, that would be fine and if you have hobbies you can add those just say that they are hobbies.
A 3.0 is not horrible and colleges will look at other information, you won't get into Harvard, but you won't have too much trouble gettting into a State school. And if your school is not a good school and you only earned a 3.0 then you don't want them to look at that...that shows that you would have recieved less then a 3.0 at a typical school.

The 26 is not bad. If you will look on most college apps., it says a certain GPA, OR ACT, OR class rank. Also, you need to put the gymnastics and all of your hobbies down. A lot of colleges want normal people with normal lives. Not just those who will hole up in their room with a book and not participate in campus or college activities. Fill out the financial aid applications, and if you have any physical problems (migranes, asthma, ANYTHING!!) check with your area or state Vocational Rehabilitation Office. Many times they help pay for books, tuition, and room and board.

Yes the colleges will take all your extracuricular activities into account. They will also look at how good your high school is. Most dont actually look at your rank in high school for the very reasons you are stating. good luck!
