I have 3 dogs, soon to be 10. The extra 7 are a Mom and her 6 puppies.
My family and I are going to foster her for a few days until she can get into a different foster home.

two, both rescued as older dogs (one was 2, one was 4 at the time -- both were abused by terrible previous owners).
both neutered.
having two is not much more effort than 1, but the vet costs can add up, plus i feed them fairly expensive food, so that's something to consider.
also - - getting dogs who are in foster care is a good idea, then you have some insight into their behavior!

5 dogs and 8 Collie Puppies that are up for sale....Black lab 9 yrs old, German Shepherd 1 yr, two Rough Coat Collies both 2 yrs old,
My Black Lab and German Shepherd are fixed and rescued pets. The Shepherd, I took from a breeder who was not taking good care of her, due to lack of caring Willow has trust issues. Our Lab came from a local shelter. My two Collies came from reputable breeders, I am planing on getting them both fixed the litter of puppies was an accident on my part.

At one point three dogs, but my older dog passed away so now I have "two" dogs. I have my own miniature pinscher, and I take care and love my boyfriend's Boxer that I count as my pet.

So 2 dogs.
