In my culture, theres a prayer called: 'rain prayer' and whenever we dont get any rain for long periods of time, scores of people go out and pray in masses, for rain. Today, it rained for the first time in one year, last week, we had prayed for rain.

Have you experienced the beauty of prayer in your own culture?

Can you tell me what the prayer is because I live in the worst drought area and we have not had any decent rain for 2 years and our dams are nearly dry. I live in a city with a population of 50,000 and we have enough water to only last 1 year and we are on very tight water restrictions

God Bless You

If you keep on praying for something, eventually it will happen. Like your "rain prayer". I could pray for rain constantly where I am and when it does rain (which it will) it doesn't prove anything. What about the "unanswered" ones then?

It is much better to try and fix the things around you than to pray for some force to do it for you.

You gotta be nuts! You get rain one time in a year and you think it was prayer. It didn't even rain when you prayed, it happened a week later. What if it rained a month or six months later? Still a result of that prayer? Give me a break.
