I would say no, greed has been a part of human since the begining. Look at the countless wars that were fought over land and supremacy. Alexander, Napolean, England. How many inter wars were there between our land king all this was for what "greed".
Look how people helped each other eg:Tusnami,Gujarat earthquake, etc. this is our age.

SO the my bottom line is that man has always been greedy and will be greedy. It is diffcult to compare the greeds between generations as it is difficult to compare sportmen of different era.
" Greed was and will be the same for humanity but the type of greed varies from generation to generation".

SO it would say that there has been no differnce in greed between our fathers and forefather and us. We are all greedy lol
:)

I would say only because a lot is offered now to out generation we want a piece of all of it and it could look greedy at times but that again depends on the person who is making the judgment. Some people today are still very satisfied with what they have but others want more because they can have more and more if offered to them if you understand what I'm saying. Because an almost infinite choice of possibilities and ever growing society we want new things, and one month later something better comes out... that's where you can try to define this question... how often to people get new things... that will determine if people might be greedy or just need the new thing because the old thing broke or is obsolete

No, it's just that we're greedy for different things. Our forefathers wanted land, possibly factories, gold, jewels, etc. We have more symbols of wealth to choose from but not so much land. When was the last time a rock star bought a state? When have you ever heard of a wealthy person owning a huge amount of land instead of a billion dollar house on a few acres? Governments own land. The churches own land. We individuals have to look for other things to be greedy for.

permit's get authentic approximately our Forefathers. They have been a made of their time, and that they simply meant that specific people pursue happiness. without slaves, how else do you think Jefferson had all that factor to be taught philosophy, politics etc. back then, in case you have been something yet a white male, you probably did no longer have the possibility to pursue lots of something, and people who might desire to did it on the backs of others. 200+ years later, we modernize our thinking approximately what the Forefathers wanted via utilising it to everyone; although, in a backward, nineteenth Century capitalist gadget, you nevertheless want a poor type, working type to shoulder each and every of the artwork so as that the privileged can replace into greater so. you won't be able to have a capitalist financial gadget without using others, and battling them from gaining a leg up. that's how opposition works, and with capitalism, it extremely is prevailing via any skill attainable. possibly you're able to subject much less approximately copying and pasting the definition of socialism, and be taught the meaning and implications of capitalism.

No, they just like to say that we are. I am so sick and tired of hearing things like this from my grandfathers:

"Well, in my day, we didn't have a school bus! We walked to school, fifty miles barefoot in 4 feet of snow, uphill both ways- and we were thankful!"

Therefore, we are not more greedy than our fathers and forefathers.

No, I think greed is human nature and has been more or less constant.

There are a lot more things available for us to want nowadays, and a lot more media available to try to convince us we need it.

Who knows, maybe greed actually helps by directing some of society's greed toward merchandise and consumer goods rather than their neighbors land and starting fueds, etc.
