I have a co-worker who always acts like she likes me, wants to bring things from home for me to eat, etc. But, what she does is always compare how much difference my work-load is from hers. Mind you she goes to college and has time to do her homework at work. Why does she do this? She always has to one-up me also. For example I was telling her I had went to the laundromat to wash clothes. Her response: I don't know about that cause I never had to go to the laundromat. Sometimes I think she thinks she is better than me, but her personality is such that she says people are jealous of her. I just can't figure her out. Why does she do this? Oh yeah, she had that stomach bypass surgery to lose weight but before that her self-esteem was really low, but now she is somewhat arrogant.

She may be feeling over confident. She may think that she is acting "normal". When she makes comments that make you feel that you are beneath her, just ignore her.

Maybe the only way she can feel better is making other people feel bad.
or
She is just Crazy lol

She's a closet crazy. Stay away from her.
But seriously, she is saying these things to make herself feel better. Perhaps she is still insecure.
