Well that's because women are pressured into being thin more than man... Just look at the media.. It's ok for a male actor to be fat but not so ok for a woman actor to be even a bit over weight... So yes there should be gyms for women!!!

Cuts is an all guy gym, and I haven't heard of any women complaining about it. And there are plenty of independent, all guy gyms. Women have enough gym choices so the don't have to worry about all guy gyms, and I'm really not sure where you're coming from with your premise.

I am a woman and could care less if there are all men gyms, as a matter of fact I went to a co-ed gym and HATED every minute of it because of all the nasty guys staring me down constantly. I stopped going and wasted $400

There are some women - for embarrassment , or cultural, or religious reasons - who cannot be seen by men while not fully dressed. There are women who just want to work out without being bothered by guys. These are the women who go to women-only gyms.

I have never heard of straight guys that don't want to be oggled by women while they work out. The guys that have problems with that go to gay gyms.

But it's not only with all-male or all-female gyms. When you see 2 guys hugging or holding hands, the first thing that pops into your head is: ...they're gay. But when it's 2 girls, people say...aahhh they must be good friends. Frankly...society is just weird and I quit trying to understand human behavior a long time ago.

I wouldn't get angry and I am a woman.

There are all women gyms because women and men have different needs. Plain and simple.

An all-guys gym is likely to be full of gay guys.

All-girls gyms are there to keep women from feeling like guys are staring at them or trying to pick them up.

Guys don't care - in fact, encourage - women to stare at them. They don't care if women try to pick them up.

We want a safe place to got to the gym. With out any salacious stares or rude comments.
If men didn't act like that then we could all go together. Until then...

Some women do not want to work out in front of men.

It seems sexist but there is really nothing more to it than that.
