A guy (I used to work with) has invited me out into town with him and 2 mates. I have a long term boyf. and can't decide if this guy is happy being friends or wants more. We meet up in the pub most fridays and text quite a bit but that's as far as it's gone. Now he wants me to come on a night out with his male mates but I don't want to lead him on. Does he want more and should I go or should i stay?!

The only way you could play this is to have a few friends with you and all meet up, or you could even take your boyfriend.
I'm slightly uncomfortable about a female being on the town, drinking, etc with 3 guys where she only know one.
Whose to say that something wont be slipped in your drink when they go to get a round in?
Remember, most rapes are carried out by someone the victim knows.
I also question you motives for considering going out with him anyway when you have a long term boyfriend, why would you do that?
Does he know about it and/or would he be happy about you going out with another guy at lunch times and then into town?
I'm sure many boyfriends wouldn't be.
How would you feel if he was doing the same?
"Hi babe, been for lunch with this girl from work and we're off into town together tonight, is that ok?"
At the end of the day, if your not happy with your boyfriend you should call it a day first and then seek other male company.
You should realise your putting your relationship with your boyfriend and your personal safety at risk by going out with 3 guys.
Take a friend or better still 3 friends and stay safe.

Don`t go anywhere with an EX friend and his2 mates, you will be totally under their control, if you really want to meet up it HAS to be on your terms, and should be in a place where you know (not just nodding acquantainces) people, also have your own means of transport.
It sounds a bit dodgy to me but its your life in whatever decision that you make.

What would your boyfriend say when you tell him you are going out for a drink with an ex work collegue and his mates. Why not go txt him and tell him you are taking your long term boyfriend along too. If he isnt happy about this and makes it clear he didnt want him there then you will know.

I think that its really a coin toss. You have more knowledge on this situation thatn the rest of us do so I would think on it a litlte more. This guy seems to like you one way or another as a friend or more. With the lack of your friends around it would seem to be a date an indication he wants "more". But with his friends there it drops on the whole date scale. I would say that he likes you and likes being around you but knows you have a boyfriend and that he wants to be near you for now. He may make a move he may not. You should ask him that :D

I'd be a bit cautious, if you do decide to go, take some of your girlfriends with you. Sounds like he's after you, does he know that you've got a boyfriend? Ask your boyfriend what he thinks, if he's unhappy with you going, don't x

You should be very careful. It sounds like he likes you. Your boyfriend probably wouldn't be happy with you going out on your own. So it comes down to how you feel about him????

if your not comfortable going then dont go. there's no sense in risking the relationship for your boyfriend just so you can find out if he likes you as more than a friend. piece of advise, as flattering as it is to know that a guy likes you or might like you, when you dont feel the same way, its better to not find out on purpose, especially if you are already friends.

sounds well dodgy. i'd thank him but say no. why would any woman want to go out with a load of blokes. no way. you have a boyfriend. i don't think he'd like you to go out with this man and his friends. think about what you want but i know what i'd do.
