I'm with you. Born Again, even had the whole visions thing going on, slain in the spirit, etc...
Now a full blown atheist. The reason why was that I kept reading the Bible. The more I read it, the more I realized that it's full of ****.

No one of The True Christian Faith would ever do that.... Reading The Bible and going to church do not make one a True Christian...
and reading The Bible "cover to cover" rates a big whoopty-do !! to you...
I know many in "churches" right now who would be left sitting in their pews if the rapture occured on Sunday morning.. some of the "big time prayers" are in for a shock when they wake up on the wrong side of Judgment...
No one, who knows The Truth of God will ever turn from God and His Word and Will... I was 53 when I came to God in The Way He prescribes.... no man, pastor, priest, doctrin, dogma, or any Book, involved.... just God and me.... that was over 6 yrs ago... and there is no way that I would turn from God.... and I have not even gotten through a tenth of The Bible... and I probably will not make it all the way through in my mortal life...
I did not even own a Bible on the day of my Salvation and I was not reading someone elses, nore was one involved in any way. I did not even pick one up untill the next day when I found a little church to go to to begin my fellowship with others of The True Christian Faith... and I bought my own the day after that...

I won't "prothletize" you, but I can't help but wonder exactly what it was that led you away. Seeing as how you have read the Bible cover to cover, it would be fair to assume that you have had some sort of outside influence that has invalidated it to you. I would be interested in knowing what that was and how it ruined the scriptures for you.

Do you think God exists?
No matter how down I get about organised religion or the religious nutters who seem to live on this planet, I remember prayers that have been answered and various signs that God does exist. I can never argue with that.
So I am no longer religious in the accepted mode - not quite sure what I believe but I do know that I love the teachings of Crhist and that's what I want to live by.

Me. Atheist I always questioned and as I got older my belief just faded away. I did alot of soul searching about it but finally after many years came to the conclusion that there is no god. And I am happier with that thought than I was in the years I was trying to be christian.

I was once a Bible-believing church-going Protestant. I started to research my own faith, other faiths, science, etc. Upon entering college, I decided that agnostic is the best word to describe myself.

all and sundry who relatively thinks existence is a extensive recreation to objective the potential of our skill to have faith we could consistently behave stable as a replace of undesirable and have faith in an invisible author being and if we win we grow to be immortal physique-much less beings of organic potential, and if we lose our ectoplasmic air of secret (soul) gets pulled against our will into what's basically the middle of a raging volcano, the place it relatively is going to sense the soreness of hearth yet in no way be ate up in it... ...is in basic terms incorrect approximately that. you're stable adequate to stand up on your ideals on the grounds which you recognize the above scenario is ridiculously mythological and straightforward-minded. Pat your self on the back. stay your individual existence, and tell the bible-thumper hell-raisers to kiss your candy patootie, yet do it with politeness the way Jesus might do it.

I was Born Again and now am Agnostic. I am much happier now, and my relationship with God has greatly improved. I'm not longer forced to see Him/Her as a book tells me too, which I think is greatly limiting.
