Should I rip her a new one? I called CPS about a month ago on her ex fiance's mother. Their house is trashed. They cleaned it up and then the children were allowed back supposedly. Today the CPS had a suprise visit and told my sister to pick up her children ( two of them ) and they were never allowed back. They also had to rush my 18 month old nephew to the emergency room because he had a temperature of 103 and it was down for 104. Should I give her a piece of my mind for not listening to me when I told her that her children were not safe there? She is an IDIOT! What should I do or say? I know to be there for my niece who is 4 and my nephew.

Dont rip her a new one....CPS has already done that....encourage her not to do this again...be there for her when she needs a babysitter - why else is she dropping the kids off there? Encourage her to cut off contact with her ex-fiancee as well.

hindsight's 20-20. Why punish her for something she cannot change now? I know it's easy to judge, but you are family and you should support your sister. Sounds to me like you'd rather "rip her a new one" than try to help her to make better decisions in the future, which makes me think you've got a problem with her far beyond this incident.

NO you shouldn't if the father still had rights she can't keep the children from him. Also maybe she just wanted her children to have a relationship with the father, and not think the situation was that bad.
